How do we utilise plastic so that it doesn’t pollute our oceans, seas, rivers and land?
Part of the solution, the very first step, is to educate YOU and ME; stop home and commercial waste plastic from reaching the local tip/landfill/garbage disposal centre, and local waters, by turning it into top quality, useful, aesthetic and practical products, that can be purchased by the very people that disposed of it in the first place – YOU and ME!
By simply “Closing the Loop”, we can help stop waste plastic from polluting our environment by YOU and ME buying/reusing Cosmos Stellar’s Recycled Plastic Products.
What is the process of recycling plastic?
All plastic is carefully sourced, screened and sorted before being processed into ‘granule’ form and then mixed to various ‘recipes’ before being finally turned into products.
This is done by using large machines called ‘Extruders’ which mix and heat the blended raw material in to a melted ‘plasticine’ consistency.
The molten plastic is then forced under great pressure in to the various dyes or moulds which form the final shape of the product.
The moulds are then cooled in large cold water tanks until the plastic is set and cold and in this way, the ‘memory’ of the product is set and stays in shape for the rest of its long life.
Closing The Loop
Recycling is all about ‘Completing the Cycle’ or ‘Closing the Loop’ and as the term recycling implies, there is a cycle that has to completed – something obviously has to happen to all the material that is disposed.
Simply putting out materials for recycling is only the first step in a long process that results in products being produced – this applies to paper, cardboard glass and metal as well as plastic.
At Cosmos Stellar, we provide the link in the cycle by making available a wide range of useable, practical and high quality products both for the domestic and commercial marketplace.
You the consumer have to purchase our products to ‘Close the Loop’ and the more you buy, the more plastic we can save from landfill!
